Recent Updates & Activities
New Beginnings!
My husband and I met each other while volunteering in Thailand in 2009. We were both working with Burmese refugees; he was teaching English to former Arakan soldiers who had fled the conflict to make a better life and I was working with children.
Over the next few years we spent lots of time volunteering in orphanages in Nepal and knew that we would spend the rest of our lives working to improve the living conditions of children and families in the developing world. We have since sponsored children to attend post-secondary education, assisted orphanages in buying food, hygiene supplies, solar lights, water filtration systems, medicine, warm clothing, and in constructing covered areas to shelter the children during the rainy season. Well Upgrade Project a Success!
February 27, 2021
Thanks to fellow volunteer Patrick we were able to raise the money needed to upgrade the water pump and replace the filter in order to provide clean drinking water to the community.

Our Projects
Second Home Child Outreach
Keeping children with their loving familes
We run this program to keep 27 children from impoverished families fed, clothed, and in school to prevent their parents from having to make the heartbreaking decision to give them to the orphanage system. It also allows parents to know their children are safe and off the streets after school, so they can continue to work the long hours needed to sustain their families. We believe this upstream action keeps families healthy, and thus forms strong building blocks for successful communities.
Education Sponsorship
Helping young people achieve their educational dreams
We support children who otherwise would not be afforded the opportunity to get an education, by providing school fees, school supplies, uniforms, and assistance with homework and organization.
Special Projects
Enhancing lives by fulfilling needs
We provide assistance with projects that benefit impoverished children and children living within the orphanage system. Past projects have included buying baby supplies for newborn additions to the orphanage, building a covered area and getting solar lights for the Disabled Rehabilitation Centre Orphanage. We have also dug a well to provide the community of Narayantar with water during the water crisis in 2016.
